Boomer Tales

Hula Hoops, Hippies, Hemp, and Hijinks.

An engaging, vivacious memoir told with heart and droll humor. LaRue takes you on a wild read of growing up in an eccentric Italian family, hippie life, a bad marriage, single parenting, sisterly bonds, failed relationships, and caring for ill parents.

Infused with unique characters and events, you will laugh and cry and definitely not want to put it down.

LaRue Agresti

LaRue has had a variety of careers including an accountant, barber, cosmetic trainer, and model home decorator. She now works at what she loves, writing. She is an Art Deco collector and loves antiquing and resale shopping.

LaRue spends most of the year splitting her time between her homes in Geneva, Illinois and Abruzzo, Italy, but spends winters on her sailboat in the U. S. Virgin Islands. Most of her writing is done while floating in the Caribbean Sea.

“Late in this memoir, the debut author attends barber college and cites the barbershop as a font of storytelling fellowship. Her prose suggests that any customer who heard her spin tales probably wished they had longer hair, so they could listen to more. She’s a fine narrator who will hold readers’ attention…”
